The wardrobe

A character begins with what she wears.

Our wardrobe is chosen for silhouette, texture and the way each piece holds painterly light. It is a curated part of the portrait experience—not a costume catalogue.

01

Softly literary

Regency-inspired

A selected portrait will introduce this wardrobe direction’s silhouette, texture and atmosphere.

High waistlines, long silhouettes and gentle draping create an elegant direction with a quiet sense of romance.

  • Predominantly ivory and white
  • Styled with suitable studio jewellery and hairpieces
  • Gloves, fans and flowers considered according to the portrait direction
02

Painterly formality

Edwardian-influenced

A selected portrait will show the structure, detail and painterly character of this wardrobe direction.

Structured softness and considered period details create a more formal presence while remaining feminine and expressive.

  • Light, restrained colour palette
  • Accessories selected as part of the complete look
  • Final styling adapted to the client and chosen setting
03

Romantic vintage

Chosen for feeling, not strict historical reproduction.

Some pieces draw more freely from vintage silhouettes and old-world atmosphere. They are selected to support the story of the portrait rather than reproduce a particular period exactly.

  • Ivory and white are the wardrobe’s prevailing colours
  • Available accessories include gloves, jewellery, hairpieces, fans and flowers
  • Individual combinations are curated rather than selected from a fixed package
04

A personal consultation

Fit, comfort and availability.

Wardrobe preferences and sizing are discussed privately before the appointment. The studio recommends suitable options according to fit, comfort, availability and the intended visual direction.

  • The current studio wardrobe generally accommodates sizes S to L
  • Exact measurements remain part of the private consultation
  • Availability may change between appointments
  • Final suitability is confirmed personally by the studio
  • Clients are not expected to choose from a technical online catalogue
05

Something of your own

Personal garments are welcome.

You are welcome to bring your own outfit. Share photographs during consultation so the studio can help determine how it may be styled and whether it suits the selected setting and light.

  • Personal jewellery or meaningful accessories may also be discussed
  • The studio can suggest ways to coordinate your garment with available accessories
  • Final styling decisions are made together before the session
